I grew up in New Hampshire and Connecticut and have been lucky enough to live in several regions of the United States, including near the Oregon Coast. I enjoy exploring nearby majestic forests, tiptoeing through many delightful flower gardens, and watching amazing coastal sunsets. My interactions with nature, its sometimes peaceful and at other times furious beauty, draw me to images that elicit a range of emotions and interpretations.

I purchased my first camera on a whim when I served in the US Coast Guard. Spending time looking at the many moods of the Atlantic, I became a keen observer of the detail that could be seen through the camera lens. A camera has been at my side much of the time since those days. My current approach to photography as an artistic means for storytelling and exploration has emerged from my forty-year career creating theatrical environments for the stage as a scenic and lighting designer.
